40th Anniversary Sunday

What a great day! We had the helicopter candy drop as our bus activity on Sunday. Enjoy the video!

Again, the video will take a bit to load. Sorry.

The 40th anniversary was also old fashioned Sunday so many of us dressed up. We had a great time.

Jimmy! He's going to kill me for posting this I think.

Cake!
Jacob looks like one of the Wright brothers.

I'm sitting here trying to think of things to type and nothing is coming to me. I'm sure that was evident by the very short sentences. How boring of me.

So this blog post has taken forever to get up. I started it around 2:30 and here it is 6:50. First the pictures wouldn't upload, then the router went down. Thankfully I can save my blog posts as drafts or else I woulda been here a while.

Today was a pretty busy day. We had a vocab quiz in Germany... I mean, in English (some of you should understand that little inside joke) Then I had my first test of my college career (Wow, that sounds so professional... "my college career") in Gospel of John class. It went... ok? I blanked on a lot of things, but remembered some things so that's good. Tomorrow we have the last cross country race. I crossed my name off the list for to show that I wasn't going to run because I thought it was a longer race than the previous races. Come to find out it's the same distance. I would have not crossed my name off the list had I known that. Oh well, I'll have to get my work outs for PE in some other time.

Dr. Voegtlin, Joel, and I went through a bunch of old computer stuff last night and now I have a bunch of things to sell on Ebay for Fairhaven. I've also had some people approach me about selling things on Ebay for them, so that is a blessing.

My first project is due October 7th. Of which I've done very little work on.

I have a speech due on Thursday. It's a "prose" speech. It's basically a speech someone else made. I picked Daniel Webster's "I was born an American, I live an American, I shall die an American" Speech. Should be lots of fun. weeeeeee....

Anywho, I'm going to work on that speech and start one of my Ebay things tonight.

I hope everyone is doing well at home. I know a lot of you that are praying for me and I really need it and appreciate it very much. Please don't stop. If you do I may just stay here the rest of my life. Muahahahahah lol, just kidding... Or am I?

Have a good one everybody.

I am about to go work on the typing lab teachers computer to get "iTALC" working. It's basically a nifty program for teachers so they can control students computers. The way Joel described it is it replaced a projector.
He doesn't have time to look into why it isn't working so he gave me privileges so I'm allowed to do things on the teachers computer. I believe I know the problem but I'm not sure of the solution at the moment.

*3 hours later* Ya... so the video never uploaded so I uploaded it to my web space. Still takes forever to load.

Well I got bored in the snack shop after dinner and here is the result :)

The links to the pictures on cameroid expired :( sorry

Hello out there

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while so I figured I would. Life is grand, I can't complain. Well... I could complain but it wouldn't do any good now would it?

I had a great day on bus visitation with Mr. Schrock. He and I got to talk about some things and I really enjoyed it. The day didn't start out too great, no one was answering their door but we ended on a good note with two possible new families! So that's a blessing.

Tomorrow is "skate day" for my bus route, that should be quite interesting. As far as I know I'm still shuttling so lets hope I don't get lost in Gary :)

I have a speech quiz on Monday and a speech due on Thursday... yuck. It's just my testimony in 3-5 minutes so it shouldn't be that hard.

My first project is due on October 7th so I need to get moving on that. I really have no idea what I'm doing so it should be interesting :)

This is just a bunch of random thoughts put together isn't it? oh well, learn to enjoy it haha

I was planning on running the track tonight but it's 25 minutes until prayer meeting. A few other guys and I (is that proper English? I really don't know) helped move some pews into the new chapel room, so that ate up some of my time.

I think I'll go back to the dorm and call my wonderful, lovely, *add another adjective here* mother :)

Miss everyone in New York :)... Don't flatter yourself too much though, I don't miss you enough haha, cya all later.

Why is it....

That when I don't have time to post on my blog I have something I could post about, but when I have time... I got nothing haha. Well tomorrow we don't have school, cause we don't have classes on Wednesday here. Tomorrow morning I'll be running a 3K for my intramural team tomorrow morning at 7 our time... sounds like fun, eh? no, not really. We should do baseball for intramural's... Who's with me?! ok, probably no one haha.

I'm also going bus visiting in Gary with my bus captain tomorrow afternoon so that should be fun.

Oh ya, that whole school work thing too. ya.... about that... haha, it's going "iight" I guess. I had probably my worst quiz yet in Gospel of John. I feel I did pretty well in English today so that's good.

I do believe the snack shop is closing so I must be going. See ya'll lata

First day of fall push / Tour of my room

Hellooooooooooooooooooooo, how's everybody doing? I'm sick, so that's no fun. Anyway, We had the first day of fall push yesterday. I had Fair day. In which I ran a booth were little kids had to throw a Frisbee through a hole to win a prize. It was alot of fun but very tiring at the same time. I started "shuttling" kids to and from the bus, in which I only didn't know where I was going one time haha. I had a map so that helped. Once I learn the route it will get easier I'm sure. We have skate day next week so we shall see how that goes. Not a whole lot going on otherwise. We had our first official "Monday" of classes today, since last weeks Monday classes were on Wednesday cause of the holiday.

It was Kathi's birthday yesterday so if you read this make sure to wish her a happy belated birthday :)

As I said before a bunch of bus routes had fair day yesterday. Jacob had to dress up as a clown for bus visiting on Saturday haha:

I'm thinking about dying my hair this color, no?

Anywho, I have some homework to do so I gots to get going.

Enjoy the short tour of my room :)

The "Sweet" Nights Sleep

So as stated in the post before I had pulled a "small" prank on one of the college students here. As you can tell he is not "fun size". Anyway, he claimed he was going to "get back at me". I kinda just brushed it off and figured his bark was bigger then his bite. It was about 10:40 (Which is 20 minutes before lights out) on Wednesday night when I jumped into bed. I put my hand under my pillow and felt something wet. For a split second I actually thought I had bled the night before. I pulled up my whole pillow and the whole thing was covered in honey! Believe it or not, I thought it was pretty funny. So I stripped down my bottom sheet and pillow case and grabbed the extra ones that I had, grabbed 50 cents and my detergent and ran down to the laundry room as quick as I could. I was in bed by 10:57 haha. I had my sheets dried by 7 the next morning so that was good. So ya, my biggest lesson learned in college so far: Don't mess with big tony haha.

On a not so light note I got a "Warning" for a "messy" bed. Not to make excuses or anything but the comforter I have could probably fit on a king size bed! I may fold it up and use the other blanket I have since it's pretty cool in the room.

I'm in the gym watching the guys play basketball at the moment. Which, if that doesn't sound very exciting, you are correct. My sister is sitting next to me and says "Hi!" to everyone.

Well, tomorrow is my shortest day. I only have 2 classes: English and Christian Education. I do have some homework to do though so I'll have plenty of things to fill up my time.

I could keep rambling but I shall not. Good Night all.... or good afternoon/morning... whenever you read this/

Woo!

Well I've had my last first class of my first week in college! Wow, that was a confusing statement wasn't it?
Anyway! I have a pretty funny story to post about but I don't really have time right now. Basically a practical jokes that was played on me.

For now I'll wisely take some advice and post pictures of some of the activities we have been on :)

The spiritual Rams fan and his wife.

Playing catch with Mr. Schrock and Mr. Ramos

My pretty awesome group at Shipshewana

Ya, we're awesome.

A preview of my next post...
This is Tony, I learned not to mess with him, you'll find out why in my next post haha

Hope everyone is doing well, talk to you all later

I have no clue what to put as a title...

Wow, so much has happened since I left home. We got to Indiana late on the 28th but it feels like I've been here for weeks. It seems as though this college thing is pretty easy... oh wait....classes haven't started yet, haha.

The internet here has been down for a while and I wanted to make a post about something and I really don't remember what it was now lol.

I am on a Saturday bus visiting route and Sunday bus ministry in Gary, Indiana. I've gone on my sisters bus so I sort of knew the ropes of how all that worked.

For some of my friends back home: I was visiting this one house and this kid came out and he looked just like Brandon Marshall on the Dolphins. It was pretty funny. I'm not totally sure how I figured out he looked like him lol. He looked like he could have been his son that's for sure.

Anyway, we are going to a town called "shipshewana" today for our labor day activity. It was described this week as a "activity for the girls, but the guys will grin and bear it" haha. It has the midwests largest flea market, so that should be ... interesting...The group I'll be in will make it fun though :)

Thank you all for your prayers. Classes start Tuesday so I could use some extra prayer, and the friends of mine that know how "smart" I am will pray extra hard I'm sure.

I really don't have much to say, I know I'm boring, maybe leave a comment and suggest some things I could write about.  ah ha! I know, I can give my class schedule sometime... I have 3 classes on every day except Friday in which I have 2. Plus there are no classes on Wednesday's. So it's a pretty light schedule.

Hope everyone in NY is doing well! Talk to you all later. I'll probably make a blog post sometime this weekend... maybe, no promises lol
