Our Last First Semester Vlog... sniffles

Well, the first semester is basically over! wow! crazy! outrageous! weird! odd! strange! adjective! what?
but finals still lay around the corner, fun stuff! *sarcasm* (as if u didn't catch the sarcasm... haha)

This vlog was kind of on the long side, but still enjoyable to watch :)

Whiter Than Snow

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready for something you rarely seen on my blog. A SERIOUS post. Yes, that's right, not a funny video, not a joke paragraph, a serious blog post.

I really believe God showed me something this morning and I just wanted to share it. I hope I can put it down into words like I want to. (this post may show how much I think like my dad lol)

On Sunday mornings I go out early to Gary, Indiana to knock on our bus kids doors to make sure they are up when the bus comes by. So I am in the car, listening to one of Mr. Schrock's (My Bus captain) tapes that he has in his car. I believe it was the SMS Quartet, but I'm not totally sure. In the song I was listening to (I don't even remember the name of the song) the statement was made: "whiter than snow" This naturally made me start to think of "(Psa 51:7)  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." As I began to think about that, I looked at the snow on the ground and thought to myself "What in the world is whiter than snow?!... It's so...WHITE! How can there be anything more white than snow?" (Get ready for the part where I think like my dad) Then it sort of hit me. What is whiter than snow? one word crossed my mind. ....Clear.... Now I know it might sound weird or strange, but I kept thinking about it. After we are saved, and we are cleaned from our sin, what does God see when he looks at us? He does not see our sin, he sees a Child of God. In order for us to become Christians, we need to become "clear". If we as Christians want to keep a good relationship with God, we can not have sin in our lives, we have to be washed "whiter than snow", so that God can make us "see through" so he doesn't see the rotten sinner that we are.. When God looks at us, he doesn't see the sin. Because we are "see through", or "clear" all he sees is Jesus.

I just wanted to share that, it really blessed my in a special way. I may have taken out of context and of course that isn't the "true" meaning of being cleansed "whiter than snow" but it was still a blessing to me. I was getting chills in the car as I pondered all these thoughts. Then again... it was pretty cold today :)
